The Plastics Issue and AHPs
There is a growing concern in many sectors about the increasing amount of plastic material waste in our environment, often where it should not be. This concern has given rise to a rash of legislative and regulatory initiatives to try to do something about it. With Absorbent Hygiene Products being single-use disposable products with plastic content, this issue is important to understand and monitor.
This presentation will discuss the issue, some key facts on the problem definition challenge, and what our industry is doing about it, including some interesting developments in material science and recycling/recovering technology to support the movement to a more Circular Economy.
