Spiraling into Business: How a Dramatic Innovation to the Tampon Met the World’s Largest Manufacturer of Feminine Hygiene Products
How does a small California startup end up in a unique strategic partnership with one of the world’s largest tampon manufacturers? Join us for a conversation about the early days of Sequel and the years of development that ultimately led to a groundbreaking innovation partnership between Sequel co-founder and CEO, Greta Meyer, and Technical Manager of Albaad Fem, Shlomo Helvits. The conversation will start with Greta taking the audience back to her days at Stanford, the insights that led her and her cofounder to focus on redesigning the tampon, and prototyping their innovation without a large-scale machine. Shlomo will recount the first time he met the Sequel team and how their relationship transformed over the years - from concept discussion over zoom all the way to factory floor mechanical integrations and finally successfully producing the Sequel tampon at scale. The two will come together to talk about how they believe partnerships like this will drive the industry forward and bring much needed innovation to a space that is ripe for disruption.
